memory, running the Linux operating system. General purpose computer
science system. Front end to the School's Beowulf cluster.
AlphaServer 2100A 5/300 running Digital Unix 4.0. 1 GB of main
memory, dual Alpha 300 MHz processor. Main University Unix system.
Amongst other functions, used for modem authorisation and Internet name
server access (DNS). Also runs the server for the University WWW pages.
